I don't care much for the theme song, but I could listen to the background music all day.

Just two things to point out,one Sandy wasn't a scientist in the classic seasons, that was only hinted in Sandy's Rocket, otherwise her being a scientist was only added in the new season,and might I say it was a ferly unnecessary and extraneous addition to her character.
Secondly there is no such thing as Good and Bad SpongeBob, the terms Old and New SpongeBob exist for a good reason,not for the popular notion that the new one is all crap, but because the new seasons are very different from the original 3 in a lot ways, including basic feel and atmosphere, so much that these difference are worthy of being acknowledged,and even when it makes good episodes they feel vastly different from those in the Hilenberg era.

Im serious,people need to realize that the term New SpongeBob doesn't translate to "everything post movie is crap".
