Superb portrait
Wouldn't really know how to give any critique to improve this. The lighting is pleasantly soft, composition is nice, colours are fresh...

Fresh, fun, the mood is gooooood! The composition is not that great but the face expression, light, exposure and creamy bokeh are outstanding

Np, my pleasure, it's a great portrait
I'm no teacher so I didn't mean to give any lessons. However, you may have wanted to use the rule of the thirds. Indeed, while most of the subject matter occupies the 2 lower right thirds, the upper and left thirds are almost empty save for the hair. It's a question of balance--for a vertical frame, I usually try at putting both eyes at the level of the upper third--without cropping the tip of the hair--and having shoulders a bit more centered. This is just my ; hope this helps, if not, forget it

decides to forget it
no seriously....
This was ione of my ost difficult compositions as the hair has to occupy most of the frame.
But if i look at the positioning of the smile...whisch you have to admit, is great...then the compositioning takes on a new dimension.
the rule of thirds is a great tool yes...but if you look at most of my portraits ...i tend to go against the norm.
thanx for the input. truly appreciated.

Right, surely go against the norms--the rule of the thirds is worthless.

The hair is very sweet with the smile...but might be quite menacing had she not smiled...
brings back my chilhood...my Mom did this with mi=y and my sisters curly, unmanageable hair.
You did a great job with color in this..her warm skin tones with the greens in the dress and the background are great.

I think with the good range of values in the photo, that black and white would have wroked too.
