Shading! Yes hello my Deviantart friends! It's been a while since I've posted something, so why not this! I just drew it actually haha! I want to try out some shading techniques on the cartoony drawings but maybe I'll not like them in the end. I think it looks okay though. tell me what you think. I also wanna start a Blogger for my art and life! If I did would you read it?Β

The hair especially looks nice, with its highlight, and I like how Niki's roller blades seem well-polished, too! Plus, Niki's expression is quite hilarious: slightly provocative and playful, yet also mischievous, in a way~! (And considering their parents, it's no small surprise Niki's mischievous as well

I'm so glad you think so! Yes I'm loving the hair shine too! It's really strange, when I was drawing this I was really debating shading but I knew it had to be done a certain way for it to look decent. It will be a little more work but one thing I've been thinking about is, less is more. I think I should limit the number of places that have shading and highlights so I don't try to apply more real-life shading rules to something that's not real because then I'll confuse myself. But thanks for telling me what you think! Provocative and playful was definitely what I was going for haha! I can see Tabitha and Julien rollerblading!
I don't know if I could keep up with a Blogger haha my dad said I should start one if I really wanted to! I did but that was so long ago and I haven't posted in like a month X'D maybe some time in the future it'll pick back up haha! Thanks for your support though!

Wow, your shading skills even more your cartoons style is still impressive. I recommend it a lot on your future cartoon drawings (though I know that alone is a lot of work so it's only a suggestion)
