Alejandro and Heather (c) Fresh TV/Tom McGillis and Jennifer PertschI've wondered how these two would manage a long-distance relationship...I gotta give credit to some people; I couldn't possibly begin to fathom just how much dedication and devotion such relationships must take. It's nice that things like Skype exist for just such occasions...
What's going on here: It's sappy. Al promised his girlyfriend that he'd find some way to get to her in time for prom.

I can only imagine what kind of stress and obstacles a person would face...I know I couldn't do it, or rather, I'd prefer not to even try things in that particular arena...

Considering that one of the first things they argued about after Al got out of the robot suit in All Stars was that they never texted each other (obviously, Al had the better excuse), yeaaaah. Nice unintentional (I think) parallel.
And on a different subject, Alejandro's new voice actor. It's a shame they couldn't get the old guy, but this new guy does a decent impersonation. It's not perfect, but it's passable.

Agreed! The previous voice actor was great, especially with tone of voice and inflection; the character Al's smooth, sappy deception was conveyed in just the right way. Agreed on the new voice actor, though. Took awhile to get used to the different voice, but regardless, he's doing okay.
