LOL ! That was great ! But, but wait, isn't, Mio, Kei and Miku dead too ? From what I know Mio did dissapear, that's why Kei went to meet Rei, and then Miku diestoward the end. So do Kei. From what I know, Rei is the only survivor. And by the way, isn't Yae's Mio's grand mother ?

Mio fell into a coma, which is why Kei went to see Rei. After chasing Mafuyu, Miku ended up in a coma. Kei dies in one of two endings, and in that ending, it's undetermined what Mio's fate was. Miku survives regardless. In the alternate ending -- which, I might add, Shibata considers the canon ending, hooray for a male protagonist finally surviving! -- everyone lives. Since he had Kaname's earring, Kei was saved from imminent death, but in a coma as well. When Rei breaks the curse, everyone wakes up. Even Mio, so Kei brought her to meet the other two girls.
Yae is Mio's great grandmother, as seen in the first Fatal Frame. Yae just possesses Mio in Fatal Frame II, due to their likeness in such a situation.
