I'm bilingual so I've been learning a second language since birth, but I've been taking Chinese at school and I feel like I've taken my second language for granted.

Yeah, I only really known English. I would have known Chinese if my mum taught it to me (she is a native speaker). And then I have Japanese too...

And I wasn't feeling down so much, just having some stressful times. Graduate course work, part-time job, research, social life, studying. It feels like I have become a 'human doing' rather than a 'human being' these days :/

I see what you mean. There's always so much to do that a lot of times it feels like we don't really get to live out life when we're already exhausted from doing stuff that we "have" to do, rather than things for ourselves. It's hard to find that balance. I'm currently in medical school and it just feels like I'm treadmilling at times when it comes to life. But it'll get better! I wish you all the best!

Dun dun duuun! Medical school does eat up your entire social life, that's for sure! A lot of my friends said that they've pretty much disappeared from their friends. XD
