Description
[Ej Pov]I watched the girl from across the road, her window blinds left open to let the fading sun's light in to her room, as she slaved upon an open text book. Notes scattered the desk, with a single empty coffee mug, eraser shavings mixing with the words on the pages upon pages of notes.
She seemed to grow heavy from the weight of the next word on the textbook page, causing her head to drop from her propped-up elbow and hand. Her hair flowing down on the open book with her head. Sighing, I walked away from the now drooling girl on a text book to the neighborhood on which the side of the road I was on, passing many houses until I reached the next one. It was mostly brick, with a light blue facade.
Cutting the screen, lifting the glass and climbing in the house, I surveyed the room I was in. It appeared to be an office, with a fairly nice computer. Hearing my stomach growl in protest, I snapped out of my thoughts and began to work on dinner.
After what was a nice supper, I walked to the edge of the road again to find her awake and taking more notes from another textbook. I would have to say all the textbooks stuffed in one would equal the weight of a good sized body, or a bag of kidneys. But nonetheless she still needs to rest, not saying I wouldn’t like a sleepy beauty moment. She still needs to sleep. Sighing, once knowing there was nothing I could do about my love-interest’s lack of sleep, I sat there watching her slowly sucumb to slumber yet again.
Early on in the morning I came back to my spot on the road, making sure that Jeff or anyone else had not followed me. Standing on the road’s side-cover, I watched as the girl came running of the house, hopping into a car with a older, same-hair-colored male steering his way out of the driveway. Desperately hoping that was a brother or a really good friend.
Walking in to the neighborhood that she just came out, I came to inspect her house, this one was mostly brick also, but no siding, only a simplistic white or eggshell trim on the outside. Small bushes lay on the front and along the sides, where the garage and side door where hidden. Looking around until I found what look to be the security box, I inspected the contents of the electric alarms. There were alarms on every door that couldn’t be turned off unless of a power loss, and the same for windows. So much for meeting my love interest tonight.
As the sun was lowering in the sky, she and the other male came to the house. Her backpack seemed much lighter and her face much more cheery. Her words came over the road in a sweet and pleased tone, “Whoop! No homework!” The other male looked at her, chuckling as he replied, “Lucky you, now go do your chores. You know Mom and Dad will still want you to do them even when they are gone. Now I have to go to work.”
She was alone tonight. Alone to me. Grinning from ear to ear, I left to put on my least bloody hoodie. Maybe I should wash one, they’re kind of a little smelly.
[Your Pov]
It felt great to have the house to your will. Taking the hottest and extensive bath you’ve long deserved, you slipped out of the now cool water, wrapping the towel around you, walking into your room. Changing into your favorite lazy clothes, you sat down on the couch with pizza in one hand and your computer in the other, turning the T.V on for background noise you began to surf the great web. Reading things as you swim your way through mindless fanfiction.
Hours passed and you never once looked up from your screen until, hearing your brothers ring tone go off from your phone, you answered the phone right away. “Hello?” you asked the device. “Hey [Name], I'm going to be late at getting home, my buddies invited me to go bowling.” He answered quickly. “Alright cool, have fun I have the fort.” “Don't tell Mom and Dad.” He asked questionably “What chore will you do?” You ask back. “Vacuuming the whole house for a week.” He sighed the words out. “Two weeks-” “fine.” He grudgingly answered back. “Have fun!” The click of the phone was your answer.
Returning to your computer, you began to read a good fanfic you stumbled upon. Soon after reading a page or so, the lights and all your electric life went black, and you heard the sound of the side door opening. No alarm going off.
Still shocked by the sudden lack of light, the sound of foot steps from the laundry room where the side door was, killed your paralyzed state. Freaking out in the living room, thinking it would be better to hide in the pantry, until the footsteps plus the likelihood of a body controlling the feet had moved farther away from you. Quietly closing the door, you heard the footsteps walk to the other end of the house.
Knowing that you only had a limited amount of time you cracked the door open slowly to exit, and closed it softly as to not give any hints to your presence. You briskly walked into your room, pacing around trying to find a place to hide. Under your bed was too cliche and lets face it too easy to find. Behind the door wasn’t great because you're not a piece of paper. Your last thought was your closet, opening the doors, you rushed yourself in and closed the creaking doors as quietly as you could. You quickly climbed your way to the small hidden shelf at the very top of your tall closet.
The sound of footsteps grew near just as you settled in your hiding spot. Extreme hide seek, right? You heard the underside of your bed being checked when the closet doors burst open to show a boy about your age, maybe older in a dark blue hoodie, black pants with black shoes. A blue face mask with black tar or paint covered his face around the eyes holes of the mask.. Your breathing had stopped, you stared at him when he scanned the closet for you. After what felt like minutes of a stare down of him looking in the lower shelves only stopping a shelf away from your hiding spot, did you breath when he left.
Your thoughts began thinking of what would happen if he found you, when you heard the front door open and your brother calling out your name. He only reached the last syllable before a gurgling sound broke the silence house. A soft thud echoed throughout the darkness. You heard the blue-hooded man close your door and lean his back on the door wall leading into your room. You were trapped, better yet dead. Moonlight shined through your blinds, giving an eerie feel to what was left of your now miserably short life.
