Wow, neat shot youve got here Love the perspective youve taken with the sun blocked by the obelisk and the detail youve captured is amazing. Reminds me of when i went there only a month or so ago and saw that exact same obelisk, Nice one

Very nice shot - I like how the picture seems to be composed of mainly dark and light. Great concept.

it's like a man-made eclipse, i always love these silhouette shots, and what a shot it is!
i can just make out the patterns on that obelisk, looks interesting. You dont happen to have another shot showing all the fine detail do you?

i love the light glow around the monument. I also love how the monument isnt completely darkened in the photo and you can still make out whats on the front of it. great shot!

nice shot but the contrast definately needs some change. Can't really see the marking on the obelisk.

I really like this, exellent balance between, how to put it . . negative and posotie aspects of the shot. The background colour if on a lighter foreground would be almost too striking, but as dark as you have it looks really great.
Nice shot

I love the shot.
I think though that the picture could have used a little bit of tweaking to make the colours of the obelisk stand out just a bit more. However, the way the sun is right behind it, gives it sort of a holy light. It looks both omninous and mysterious. I like how you captured this

Very good composition, though the resolution is too large for my screen and I have to scroll to see the full view, which takes away from the photo. The only thing is, the sun is a little too bright and it's drawing my eye to the light behind the obelisk, rather than the obelisk itself. All in all, though, it's a great photo.

This piece had amazing composition, angle and color. I love the almost silouwet effect, yet retaining enough detail to see what it is. Wonderful job!

While I love the subject matter and I can't quite put my finger on it, something about the composition is off?

The lighting on this is simply amazing!! Itβs perfectly behind the Obelisk and makes it seem to glow! So beautiful!! I love how itβs shadowed but you can still see the markings on it and the beautiful clear blue sky contrasts perfectly. The fact its one of the few left makes this a very empowering images, itβs either the light of hope, or the final light these mighty monuments will see. This image has a voice and it speaks clearly to me. Gorgeous work.

Very nice job. I love how the entire obelisk is mainly dark and then there is just the light behind it. It draws you in.

Oh wow~! This is very impressive. Nice angle and I love how clear it came out as the details of the glyphs are crisply visible. Very interesting to see!

Love silhouette pieces, love obelisks.... the angle of the obelisk and position of the sun directly behind it is just great, and this particular shade of blue for the sky contrasts perfectly, excellent job!!

interesting photograph but i think you should have focused on the obelisk instead of the sky, the sun "ate" the obelisk in this, when there is a lot of sun you should focus on a darker area, in this case you could have focused on the base of the obelisk or in the middle of it and then composed, try it with your future projects its worth the time!

Nice work, Sea Monkey! A very good photograph, if I may say so myself. In terms of composition, some very interesting aspects.
Color is nice; a contrast of light blue hues and less intense oranges. We are in the digital age dude, I might suggest tweaking the color contrast a bit on photoshop, particularly the bits that are silhouetted. Maybe just a few intense orange highlights on the edges rather than a big space of a dull brown.
One of the very first things I noticed of this photograph is the negative space; the sky. You've chosen well to have the sky be very intense in color. But then I noticed that if you flip the photograph 180 degrees, the positive and negative space are nearly identical. Perhaps you intended this balance, but anyway it's visually beautiful.
I notice also your relatively thick borders... is this your style? For me, I tend to use slimmer borders. They are, after all, borders. Also the camera you used, the Nikon E5400... I took the liberty of looking into it a bit, research if you will, and it seems to be a very versatile little thing. One who has the ability to maximize its potential would have a very deadly weapon in their hands...
Overall, again nicely done! Simple, yet grand and powerful.
