It's really cute. The only two suggestions I'd like to make are to separate the two characters a little more. The ears and antlers get lost among doggy pants. Animators frequently talk about maintaining a character's silhouette, that if you can tell what they're doing in silhouette, the action will be even better defined with all the details in place. It also doesn't look like there's much weight behind the throw. If he leaned a little more forward, the throw would be more dynamic, and would have the added bonus of bringing the ears and antlers out into the open.
