(I flubbed and accidentally posted this on my main account rather than here in fiber art central. I'm updating the WIP post here with the finished product instead of submitting a new entry; sorry for any confusion!)

It's starting to get cold here and I've been overdosing on Doctor Who, so I had a fantastic idea for a hat. It's the top of a Dalek shell on one side, and can be reversed to reveal the little Dalek body on the other side. It can be worn either way, but it's more comfortable with the optical lens on the outside (I am giggling like a fool under there), and it makes a cute little Dalek when you stack them up. XD

Both pieces are entirely knitted except for the blue eyepiece lens and the vent ridges around the brim of the hat, which were crocheted on. There are a total of 75 pom-poms embedded in the scarf. (I made them grey because otherwise it would have just been a lumpy black scarf.) I am very pleased with how these turned out; they are SO warm! <3<3

NOTE: I've received some inquiries about reproducing this set for sale. I do plan to make these and a plushie version available through my (currently rather empty) Etsy shop [link] , probably sometime in January. Just as fair warning, generic pre-made Dalek scarf/hat sets and plushes will probably run around $80-100. Custom item requests for special colors/designs will be individually priced based on added complexity and materials.
