A huggable squeezable item box from Nintendo's Mario Bros! I made this for Aaron last year for Christmas. He wanted one of these soooo baaaaad. Since the sewing machine and I hate other each other too much to co-exist in the same room I stitched this by hand. On one side I sewed in a pouch in which I put some of the 'magical' items one would find in an item box: a feather, a mushroom, a star, a flower, and of couse, a coin! To make the items I just colored and cut out some some graph paper as I inteded to go back later to make better ones... but meh... I'm too lazy!Mario's item box is owned by Nintendo

I showed it to my sister (she didn't know DA at all) and now she's in love with it! She says once she learns to sew, she'll do one for herself. As for me...sometimes I too get back and look at it for a while. You triggered a lot of childhood memories there.

haha, AWESOME. i think the pocket with items was a nice touch. maybe (laminated) cardboard would be a better material for them?
