A single sword with no shield, eh? She's got some major stones to try hunting like that without a decently-crafted weapon.
Other than that, while he certainly looks cooler in the Khezu I definitely miss seeing the cadet in his more traditional armor set (I don't know why I'm blanking on it but it's... Hunter's Mail? No. Damnit, my esoteric knowledge of all things MH is failing me), if only because it better represents who he is. Of course, so long as he's switching weapons and armor sets half the time, that's who the cadet is.
I'm not certain how I feel about how... easy it seems to be to defeat a wyvern here. A good hammer wallop, a failed sword strike, a sudden lunge by some dual swords. I realize people like to go for quick battles and to input some 'realism' into the fights, but in a real fight it would take an insane amount of force to decapitate a monster of the Plesioth's size in one blow, and most of the monsters evolved in a habitat where having a thick hide and strong bones is what helps them survive. We've all watched the intro videos and cutscenes, after all, it takes a Gore Magala from left field putting all its weight on it to snap a Tiggy's neck, and before then there was no short amount of fighting from the hunters themselves.
That's just my personal opinion on it. I rather like the comic thus far though, and I look forward to seeing where it's going.

Most of this is attributed to it being the beginning of a story. Only under peculiar circumstances do I plan to have monsters so easily defeated like this. It would have done nothing for the story to drag out the first fight.

Nothing for the story, perhaps, but something for the setting. As it stands the Aces look like some serious G-Level hunters against village-level monsters to the trained eye, but to the untrained eye (and, indeed, even to the trained eye like mine looking at how you establish your interpretations) it sets an expectation of how fights are "meant" to be. What we saw is two strikes to take out a sea beast, and ten a gong to remove its companions.
As the main character(s) grow(s) in power, we'll expect more fights to end like this one against 'regular' wyverns, which will make it slightly harder to believe that there's any difficulty in a fight unless there's a new monster or it's somehow special (Gold Rathian vs. Normal Rathian). I've run into this problem myself when it comes to my MH Fanfic (which I'm still trying to get adapted into a comic one day myself. Maybe I should get off my lazy butt and learn to draw), and I've been, well, avoiding the issue as much as possible >____> But it's something to consider when you consider how you might want to approach things. Will we run into Plesioths again? Will it just be once to measure how your hunter has grown or will it be a staple as they are in the games with a different Plesioth quest at each new level? Will the Green Plesioth be used to represent High Rank and another color to represent G? Will you even bother with distinguishing between Low/High/G? It's a thing, you know?
I guess I'm trying to give a critique from an outside perspective (albeit an outside perspective with intimate knowledge of the setting so I'm not just saying silly things). You know, a non-fan looking in. Sorry if I come off sounding rude or somehow unappreciative of what you're doing. It's a hard road to make a comic series, or any type of series, really. You're doing well, as far as I can tell, I'm just always one to offer advice, and not all advice is for everyone, so feel free to ignore me. >_>

I definitely get what you're saying and I appreciate the feedback and critique.
This first comic doesn't really show much for it but there will definitely be a lot of silliness in future chapters so I'm not worrying too much about some aspects of realism.
While ultimately my target audience is the monster hunter educated, I do need to work on making it more accessible to the non fans of the game.

One quick question thoug, who is the person using the hammer.Β
I recognize the rest of the ace hunters but he is not one of them,
unless he's the ace cadet in new armour trying out the hammer.

He's loosely based on the ace cadet. There's one point early in the game when you first encounter the magala in the everwood where you see the cadet wearing khezu armor while escorting someone out of the area.

I'm liking this. A lot. Hoping we can get to see more Lances, they're a super-underrated weapon and very, VERY badass. Perhaps we can see some mixed armor sets in the future?
