"What if I never fly?" Oh scoots, from the moment you said this, I have been hoping that you'll fly one day, fly up in the sky, and feel the breeze brushing against your wings, feel the freedom from the grasp of the Earth. But alas...~
A teeny spoiler? "Growing up is hard to do" confirmed scoots wings are staying the same size even when she grows up :" Kinda saw it coming but I was still hoping.. No matter, I've been having the headcanon of scootaloo making herself metal wings for quite some time, and I guess I can make my dream a reality now! Scootaloo had time and time again shown that she is capable of engineering and building [cuts to One Bad Apple(babs seed and the sabotage pumpkin carriage) and Twilight Time(scoots building a scooter)], so I think it's quite fitting for scoots to build herself a pair of metal wings!
For those of you still reading, I even threw one Iron Man Easter eggs in there, can you spot them?

Well personallyΒ Ithink that's actually very cool. I mean the character has a setback, but it's clear she doesn't allow it to make her feel inferior, and I'm sure she has strengths in other aspects, like she was always adept with her scooter so maybe she got better with skills akin to that
That said that's some lovely couple of drawings, really wholesome, keep it up

Her making herself a pair of wings would be an awesome way to overcome her problem.

Scootaloo's wings not growing in Growing Up is Hard to Do doesn't mean anything in regards to her eventual flying ability.

That is true, Bulk Biceps being able to fly is a miracle to me HAHA Although, Scootaloo's inability to fly is kinda mentioned in Flight to Finish, and although the recent episode did not show Scootaloo trying to fly, her wings are still smaller than normal pegasi wings(with the exception of Bulk Biceps of course) Maybe she can fly, and maybe she can't, but this is just my headcanon
