Do they keep/use their antlers for anything? Or are they discarded quite easily?

Their antlers are closer to branches than true animal antlers, so after they fall off they tend to get dry and kind of gross. As with humans today
there are probably doting parents who preserve their children's first antler sheds and such, but they're not particularly useful for anything.
