Well, for SEGA America, the results are in, and people have been called.I didn't win... so Congrats for you 20 who won.
I was unable to chose between one scene, and thus, ended up with 3.. which is probably one of the reasons I didn't win. >.> Blah.
Oh well, in the very least, you all can enjoy it.
This will probably one of the last times you see a Directly-from-game-based fan art from me. >.> Keh.

I like the colouring and shading done for the emerald and I do believe that the Ark should have looked more darker.

I know exactly how you feel. I've drawn pictures for many a contest before, and I lost all of them but one. It may be because I'm not proficient enough at drawing to compete with most artists. But did you feel like completely trashing your work after you found out, just because you didn't win?

Oh. I guess that's how I differ than most artists then. If I create a picture exclusively for use as a contest entry, and the entry does not win, I contemplate (though I usually don't act on) trashing the work entirely, because the picture was created for only one reason and it failed to serve its purpose.

you did a bautiful job coloring the panel with Tikal. The dark shading gits the background. One of the best Tikal pics I've seen. Overall, this is an awesome pic to summerize the Sonic adventure games.

Thank you, personally, I kinda wish I could figure out my own "style" for the characters, or most of anything. I have the curse of needing to draw something exactly as it should look in the cartoon/anime/etc, yet, I'm completely unable to develop my own sense of "styling" the characters that's all my own.
Either way, I'm still glad I can draw them well enough.
So, Thank you very much! (Suggestion -which you prob'ly already know- : Look at screencaps a lot to help figure out how they do things, though using cutscenes from games also works too. Sonic X has this horrible issue with not showing us how they walk -leg movements- 50% of the time.)
