I don't need the mercy of this world.

In fact, I don't need this world!

I used to have so much trouble looking back with regret. Sometimes at mistakes, sometimes just awkwardness.
Sometimes it seems I'm pretty much told I don't get mercy. That I'm chained to the past.
But now that I know Jesus, I know I don't need the world's approval anyway, and that I'm free and people shouldn't get to take what God has freely given.
That doesn't completely stop me from looking back or hurting, but when I do I have him to comfort me, and lift me up to move on.
It's amazing how dim other things get in the light of him.

To those of you caught in regret or anxiety because you can't live up to people's standards, I just want you to know Christ left an open door to freedom, he offers new life. You don't have to drown in shame; you can let go. He understands your struggles. Even though you might mess up sometimes, what matters to him is where your heart is. 💙

Also the scares on her paws are symbolic of how with him I died in spirit, and with him I rose. My past self is dead and I'm new because he made me new. Because of him I'm free. Also faint glowy stuff making wings for freedom from earthstuff and surrounding her like his spirit bringing comfort.
