Description I've come to find that many deviants don't know anything about the lit bar (heck, if that's even what it's called). They either don't notice it or don't bother to play with it to see what it does.

It makes reading on DA easier!
It adjusts font and text size.
It indents paragraphs.
It turns the bg black and the text white for less eye strain.

It's really useful and you should try it out if you haven't!

Wait... is THIS why I can't indent my paragraphs when I upload? They want to make use of this thing...?

I've been trying to upload stuff FOREVER, but I couldn't figure out the indenting system, because DA refuses to allow uploading .doc files.

Yep, probably so. You still lose some of the formatting , but it beats having to go in and add HTML to everything.
DA needs to throw us writers a few more bones- visual artists get most of the goodies.

Have to go through entire chapters just to add the italics again... And I'm fluent in sarcasm, so I use A LOT of italics... Can't even highlight and push a button for it, either - have to add the italics tags on both sides of every single word! That's just brutal!

Agreed! Although, it's gotten to the point where my laziness wins out and I just leave italics and stuff out

Oh, I refuse to do that. I spent two years finishing writing this story, and now that I'm finally posting the whole thing online, I'm not leaving one thing out.

I know! Writing is like my thing and I only recently figured the thing out. It's like a feature DA just neglected mentioning or explaining as far as I've seen. I hope this stamp helps more people!
