Summary

He found himself in the unfamiliar realm of Namün, a place of ancient customs and enigmatic traditions. The very earth beneath his paws seemed to vibrate with stories untold, and he, the recently liberated outsider, was left to navigate this land veiled in mist and littered with hidden snares.

Juko's answer to this conundrum was to seek assistance; a knowledgeable guide might unveil the secrets of safe pathways. Little did he know that his first blunder lay in the choice of companion.

Wysiria, who would later reveal herself as an Outrider, harbored no patience for Juko's incessant questioning. The recent tribulations of war had rendered the smaller wolf far from amiable towards those who tested her tolerance. Juko, unwittingly, became the litmus test. Without even waiting for an invitation, he followed her through the dense Namün woods, assuming that she would readily share her wisdom with the newcomer. Unaware of the mounting tension and irritation he was stoking, it didn't take long before Wysiria whipped around, causing Juko to stumble back, his massive form flinching in surprise.

In the blink of an eye, he found himself dismissed, her words cutting through the air like thorns on a bramble bush. Insults were slung like arrows, demanding that he leave her be. Out of respect, he withdrew from her presence, dreading the idea of exacerbating her further. Yet he couldn't help but feel that he had trodden upon paws, and now, he was consumed with the need to make amends.
