This is one of my favorite games, and the Hidden Palace Zone was a nice little stage to wander around until the Battle against Knuckles The Echidna.
The storyline of the game was awesome, it make us think that Knuckles is an enemy until we reach the Hidden Palace Zone, were we find out he was only victim of Dr. Eggman/Robotnik's "charm", who steal the Master Emerald, source of unlimited power, to create a massive weapon of total destruction in order to get rid of Sonic and Friends, and rule the world in the process.
I am wondering if there is a Sonic 3 & Knuckles Comic around.

I think the reason why you didnt win was to due to the fact that knuckles has fleetways design, while sega did have the rights of the charecters, they did have the rights of flettways version...etheir that or due to the fact that most entries revole around this scene.
