Jonah lived an ordinary life for a 15 year old. He had a good friend, a loving mom— everything he could ever ask for. One day he was going on a “trip” of sorts to the Life Foundation with his scout group when, suddenly, Spider-Girl came crashing through the window, chasing a steampunk-esque four-armed man. Frightened and panicked, the crew made a desperate attempt to escape the whirlwind. The two contenders came crashing into glass cylinders, which held an odd goop— “Jonah! You know how much I hate being called goop!”— which came “crawling” at Jonah’s leg. Jonah blacked out on impact and had to be carried to the bus. From then on, Jonah had a friend with him no matter where he went— “Yeah, a really annoying friend who always begs for food.”— Plague, an alien. A symbiote. A nuisance. From then on, the two became widely known as “The Alien,” a mysterious anti-hero, who loved to stop in the middle of battles for a snack. Sometimes, his opponent was the snack.

/////— “Hey! We aren’t done yet! What about my side of the story?!”

“Plague, no one cares about that. Plus my hands are too sore.”

“You’re lucky you don’t have a brain, because if you did, I would have eaten your annoying face by now.”
