Here is the Portal cake I made for my brother’s birthday cake! I’m definitely not skilled at cake decorating & I think I got more sprinkles on the counter than on the cake, but I am quite pleased with my work! I can also finally mark this off my list of to-do projects!

I like to call this the easy version of the cake; by that I mean that I used sprinkles instead of chocolate chunks/shavings because it was much faster and god knows how much chocolate I would have wasted trying to get it into perfect little chunks. It took forever to get all of the sprinkles stuck on the sides; I had to tilt the cake and do a little "scoop and fling" with a spoon to get them on. haha Also, the white icing bits are just little blops instead of pretty swirlies; I didn't have fancy icing things so I just plopped some frosting in a sandwich bag, cut off a corner, and squeezed it onto the cake.

Anyway, this cake is great; it's so delicious and moist.
