Hope I'm not too late! This is my version of Katy Coope's character from her book "How to Draw Manga". I don't normally participate in art challenges but this one struck a big enough cord with me that I had to do it. I grew up in a very small town, it was like being raised on the moon and back then anime and manga weren't as mainstream in the west as it is now. I got relentlessly teased for my appreciation. My mom actually bought this book in a book fair when I was 11, it helped knowing there was more people out there that were like me and shared similar interests.Like so many other artists, this book was what set me on my art journey!
