I LOVE these little two! What normally looks as a cute, serene scene's slightly off-put by their faces: make-up, or masks? Their faces' pale complexion brings a tint of macabre to the image, in my eyes at least.

I think another observer sums it up best: "no one combines cute and creepy like you".
Once again I get the heebie jeebies with their faces, like porcelain dolls or Russian dolls.
Frightening! *manaical laughing*
For me personally- its the blend of creepy-looking characters with almost rainbow-bright
colours, it creates an odd, incongruous atmosphere; where as if the colours were black
or dark always, your work would suffer.
What makes the pieces stand out so recently are the vibrancy and texture of the work.
You are invited into the characters' worlds; whether you want to be or not
because the colours or backgrounds are so inviting. Yet you distrust the characters
because they have such alien or distorted features (sometimes..)
and then you ask yourself are they benign or malevolent; you often keep us guessing
and there's usually an animal in the background (or maybe a scarecrow!)
that acts sometimes as a decoy, because you might think: "awww - cute"
so that person with their comment I quoted at the start has nailed it!
I still fear their faces...*shudders* *grimaces*. Great work again Aim,
only you possess the ability to create these parallel opposites and make them whole

It is so sweet yet so ominous. Yet another fantastic piece of artwork, which again is true to your surreal dreamlike style of which we have become accustom.
