Sun the Chimchar

This is Sun the Chimchar but he prefers just to be called Chimchar. He has a complicated background, his goal is just to be an explorer using the sailboat gift from his father and be better than the best Explorer in the region known as Dragonite, who's recently reached the Grandmaster rank which is the highest rank given to an explorer. However, the said father was a bit aggressive to his son. That aggression had led to a scar across his nose which now he uses a patch to cover. He lives with his mother in the village with Totodile, however he hangs around the Pokemon who bullies her, however, he doesn't say anything to her only tells the bullies to not waste their time on her. He has enough admiration for Totodile's mother to not mess with her daughter.

He hardly sees his father because what's the incident even though his father has tried many times to apologize for his aggressiveness. But Sun ignores him and usually spends his time with the other fire types or training. The local fire types offered him an opportunities to join them if they ever form a exploration team and he has accepted their offer. However as the story goes on something happens which causes him to have no choice but to join Totodile and Ty the Treecko.

Sun is strong and smart but sometimes even the most obvious things go over his head. He's not always angry even though he looks to be, it's just his demeanor. Despite being a fire type he likes to sail across the sea.

This character at the beginning of the story is going to be a little unlikeable but slowly what time you understand his motivations and he'll understand what he did and what's wrong.
