While I was in my weeb stage, Naruto was one of my favorite anime. So, all of the new stuff with Boruto and all of that has really brought back a lot of memories for me. Seeing some of my favorite characters all grown up inspired me to make a new Sakura cosplay! I thought that Sakura's costume in Boruto was so classy, sexy, and grown up. For those who know me and maybe pay attention to what I favorite on here, you'll know I've been a big supporter of Sasuke and Sakura getting together. Well I think a big driving force of me making this costume was that Sakura wears the Uchiha family crest on her back on this dress! I just really loved that. Also: I don't have to wrap my leg for those damn shuriken holsters. For the last 6 years I've had to wrap my leg anytime I wanted to cosplay Sakura. It gets annoying... lol I have the most pictures of my old Sakura costume from Ikasucon 20(10?). I made sure I got my cosplay done in time for Ikasucon 2016 while I'm still in Ohio. I actually ended up winning the Best in Advanced category with this cosplay! I'm not sure where I will get pictures taken of this. I'll probably wait until I've moved to Idaho. A lot of photo spots will work for Naruto characters, and there are a lot of beautiful outdoor photo spots in Idaho.
I based the shaped of this dress off of a run of the mill Qipao dress pattern, but I modified it a lot. I used a scarlet linen blend for the main part of this dress, and tried to find a similar blend of white linen for the white binding. This dress is fully lined. It also has an inner lining of just some muslin to help hold the shape of that curve on the side.
The pants are white denim and also fully lined. Despite being denim, due to the fact that this is pure white it was almost mandatory I lined these pants or my underwear would show through. @_@
Wig is from epic cosplay and the only styling requires was to move the part of the wig and to straighten the fibers. Contacts are Dolly Green circle lenses from Honey Color. Shoes are just a random pair I found on ebay. I hand cast the bracelets myself from epoxy resin that I dyed white.
