Note: It's fairly large, so keep clicking! <3GOF scene where Harry battles Voldemort in the graveyard. The phoenix is the result of their wands dysfunction, because they're brother wands and have the same core (feathers from the same Phoenix).
Harry's side of the Phoenix is blue for his Patronus & Voldemort's is green for the killing curse. I know that may not be what they were using, but it's symbolism!
Symbolism is always a good excuse, eh?

This is the first picture I've commented on since joining Deviant Art, and I just had to comment because I was so impressed, and I would have kicked myself if I hadn't. It truly awes me when someone can take a scene from a book (or whatever) and turn it into something so beautiful and truly expresses that artist's talent in the creativity department. Now, I've seen a million and one (literally) illustrations from the Harry Potter books, and they've all been good, but generally the same. It's like, "Oh there's Harry and Voldemort in the graveyard, and... there's Harry and Voldie in the graveyard again... okay..." Never have I seen anyone make a scene truly make me stop and "damn, I wish I had thought of this" like this one. Beautiful work. I'll have to check out the rest of your gallery. I'll stop rambling at you and put this on my favorites already.

Beautiful! The composition is brilliant. You can really see the struggle between Harry and Voldemort in their postures and faces ~ great!

Thanks! ^^ It's one of those ideas that bugs you in the back of your head forever -- you've got the visual, but you don't think you could quite pull it off on paper. I got lucky, I think.
