This is sadly useless for characters from worlds where they don't have newspapers, traffic jams, blind dates, internet, photography or airplanes. Which would be most of my OCs. Sad panda.

Granted, it would be impossible for the characters to take on the following scenarios in their own world(s). However, there are plenty of other memes and such out there that also see characters taking part in out of the norm situations with no effect on continuity of the original setting and such.
Really, there's nothing wrong with having a little creative fun every now and then
