This is something I've been wanting to do for a while, and it took about 40 shots to get it right. I was using Crayola pencils, which bore the golden logo that kept shining on other pencils. In this picture, you can faintly see this in a couple of pencils towards the top - I attempted to edit it out in Photoshop, but couldn't get rid of it completely. But since this was the best of the bunch, I thought I'd share it with y'all...hope you enjoy it

Ah, it's the rainbow of life... of colours. Interesting concept, nice symmetry and yet I like the way that that one white crayon disturbs it. Nice photo, too, great idea, I like the sharp focus on the middle, centered on the main thing... And the lighting, the light really reflects nicely. Very simple... but that's where the enchantment lies! Nice nice! Thanks for posting this on the forums

nice concept. the crop is very traditional, almost obvious but really not tacky. i like the focus aswell... the slight blur on the top and bottom, its minute but it works

This is a wonderful photo. I work with pencils all the time and I really love it how you made the white pencil stand by surrounding it with bold colors in an organized manner. I really enjoy seeing other mediums "have a closer look" at the tools I work with daily and show it's beauty.
