This is something I've been wanting to do for a while, and it took about 40 shots to get it right. I was using Crayola pencils, which bore the golden logo that kept shining on other pencils. In this picture, you can faintly see this in a couple of pencils towards the top - I attempted to edit it out in Photoshop, but couldn't get rid of it completely. But since this was the best of the bunch, I thought I'd share it with y'all...hope you enjoy it

i like it, the only problem is that you put out the white one and white is the most complex color cos it contains all of them, you should put out the black one may be.

the idea is very unique. i have a question, tho. is it that the white one is the only sharpened pencil, or are the others sharpened, but facing the other way? (not lyk it really matters, i would just lyk 2 know)

Very creative...but do you really need photoshop for this? Except for lighting I think it would be okay..

As a bunch of others have commented it's simple and beautiful and colorful. Haha but I just wanted to voice my sympathy towards the white color pencil. ;D No one really gets the chance to use it unless they're coloring on like a dark piece of paper.

I can't more than agree on everything that's written already. It's these "simple shots" that aren't really that easy to take. Sure when you see a finished set-up/photo it's like _gah.. I could have made that. It's just exactly that, to think of an original idea with the message of beeing simple and clean.

Random thought: How could this encourage racism? I mean I don't know about anyone else but I don't see blue or green people running around. Or even dark red people. Maybe that's just me though?

This is a great composition. The white (like white light) stand out because it consist of all the other colours. That's at least the way I understand your photo.
If people see a racism content here than it is there way of thinking and not your problem. You did not say anything that let you think you see it that way in your description.
