This is something I've been wanting to do for a while, and it took about 40 shots to get it right. I was using Crayola pencils, which bore the golden logo that kept shining on other pencils. In this picture, you can faintly see this in a couple of pencils towards the top - I attempted to edit it out in Photoshop, but couldn't get rid of it completely. But since this was the best of the bunch, I thought I'd share it with y'all...hope you enjoy it

865 comments! I wonder if you'll get to see mine. I like how the top and bottom are fuzzier and the image has its focus on the white pencil. You have a great eye for really interesting photography. Anyway something struck me as strange when I first saw it, and i realized it was that the pencils were, like, smudgy looking, and the yellow on top of the white isn't exactly in line with the staircase. but that doesn't really take away from the photo at all. again, great shot

The wonderful use of color helps the white pencil to stand out even more than just it's placement would allow. Actually, because of the white background, it's really the wood that stands out to me, which makes this unique. I also love the strong diagonal line through the shot. Very well thought out!
