It's like the flower inside the jar is like the world that is not what you want, and you symbolize the world that you envision to create for youself.

The words bare, innocent, and hurt come to mind.
The flower top is facing down as if hope is gone.
I feel as if it's tell me that there is
no saving it....or the person in the photo.
