these are amazing! quick question: how did you determine each gem's Facet and Cut?  My OC is from Homeworld, and i'm trying to figure out a way to determine her Facet and Cut for identification purposes.

Thanks!
As far as the Facet and cut, I mainly based it off of speculation, but this was kind of my thought process:
The first number in the facet is based off of what kindergarten and/or planet they came from, so for example my Amethyst came from the Facet 9 Kindergarten, or the prime kindergarten on earth, meanwhile Benitoite and Red Spinel are both from Homeworld, and therefore are followed by a the number 2(Just a random number, but a lower one.) The First letter and second number in the facet were chosen at random, however are speculated to be a simplified star map coordinate of their planet at the time the gem emerged (This was found on a reddit board when discussing what Peridot's facet meant). The two Rubies and the Emerald only have three-digit facets, based on how Eyeball Ruby introduced herself in "Back to The Moon". However, the fourth digit on those who have it is loosely based on their purpose. (Ex: Red Spinel, A for Advisor, etc.) but can also be a random letter.
The cut is simply the gems Full Name, per say. The first number is their chronological age (How old they are compared to other gems their kind, counting up) and the two letters following it are their kindergarten coordinates (Where they emerged from, length by width.)

Really the Facet and Cut of a gem are simply their full name. These numbers and letters can be completely random, or dissected however you want, but this is how I put together my characters. Sorry if it's a lot of reading!

ohhhh, okie! thanks so much!

followup question if you don't mind: so based on that, would a Tourmaline Spy from early gem war (like 5-6000 years ago) have something like Facet 1F6S Cut 1?? (not quite sure how the last 2 digits would work )

(also, about the 1, I remember hearing somewhere that maybe the 2 in Peridot's facet had to do with her being an era 2 Peridot, and since I liked the idea, i figured Tourmaline would have a 1 since she was era 1 )

That sounds about right! To be honest, the last two digits are usually just random
Oooh, that's actually a really neat idea, and it would make a lot of sense! I'll have to look more into that one! That's awesome!
