Warning, large file! Download for best view.This tutorial took me about four hours to make. The shoes took 30 minutes.
Argh.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this tutorial! I really really hope it's useful because it took me wayyyy too long for it not to be!

Some parts were difficult to explain, but hopefully the pictures made it easier.

I recommend Resinsoul and FantasyDoll for great dolls that are really cheap.
Resinsoul even offers a choice of different resin colours.
I don't think any of their dolls, even the big ones, are over $250.
I'm currently eyeing Resinsoul Mei, she's only $140!
Don't forget, shipping can be expensive sometimes.
I personally think it's worthwhile to save for a longer time and buy a more expensive doll that you actually like. I mean, the bjd hobby really is for people willing to invest into these rather expensive dolls.
I guess its a good idea to start cheap for you first doll in case you find that the hobby isn't for you.
If you hurry, there are a lot of doll companies doing winter event sales, so you can get a good deal! I personally love Luts, especially their MSD sized dolls. They're about $240 on there.

You know, a lot of us have been made fun of for liking dolls, by our parents, relatives, friends... It's just part of it, and if this hobby is really for you then you can look past this persecution see the dolls for what they really are. You know, I'm a tomboy too and the last thing I thought I would ever get is a doll. But BJDs are different.
I don't think I could live without my babies now that I have them. And soon enough, people learn to accept them as a part of you and they won't bother you about them any more.
