Canon Situation: Tesa wanted to just have fun and shirked her chores. Once Lady Otrera found out, Tesa was swiftly grounded and made to do her chores with the punishment that she could not eat her lunch till all her morning chores were done. Lya started to try and help out Tesa, but Lady Otrera forbid it, as she said Tesa needed to learn more responsibility. So with her hands tied, Lya tried to cheer up Tesa, who only seemed to grow more grouchy and upset the more Lya tried to cheer her up.

It seems Tesa has a long way to go before she understands the rewarding nature of self-discipline and it's connection to self-esteem. But for now, she'll have to make do with the goodwill and consideration of her best friend, Lya.
