Description Study II: Skeleton study.

Sorry guys for taking ages to post something. But here it is... some studies I have done. I did it before 2009.

Anatomical drawing is interesting but to some, you can grow bored of it if you don't get the drawing precisely.

I got lazy to give them color. Stopped just only 2 drawings. .

So anyway... I'm going to get a solid fundamental with these...bones, skeletons before move on to learn more about muscles later on. Mind you, I do this only when I have spare time and to learn more how skeletons, muscles work.

The schedule of the study.

1. Skeleton
2. Musculars
3. Torso, arms, legs, feet, hands and head (faces as well)
4. ...Other small parts.
5. Head drawing (I've already mentioned that on number 3 ).

And yes this is heavy and not to mention the boring shit ever. But it is part of the study therefore I'm try my best to practice as much as possible.

Practice, learn and remember.

Is there a Barnes & Noble or Borders in the UK? They almost always have them in the Bargain Books section

Yes they do have - only in the city heart of London. I live outside London TT_TT. BUT there're Borders (is there Borders in the States as well?? - I know, a bit silly question). They do have Waterstones. The price varied.

I can always get it online . On Amazon there's plenty of books to choose . An Atlas of Human Anatomy for the Artists and this; An Atlas of Animal Anatomy for Artists = I heard it is good. At least it got good rates but you just can't judge the book by its cover.

I'll buy these two - when I get paid that is ¬_¬...

Actually, most movies have these..."anatomical drawing" alike... There are wide range movies that have an anatomy illustration... I can't recall any but there're some fews...or more.

Yeah, and you did a GREAT job of it. Your sketches remind me a little of the book in 13 Ghosts.

I've actually seen that movie, but I rarely gathered attention at the book... I believe you find sketches in every "fictionary" book in almost every movie...

Try Bubba Ho-tep - I find that movie zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ever!! D8<... But one scene where the main character looked up fore book of about the soul sucking ancient mummy.

Nice one. I would love to illustrate like that - but I simply can't do it without reference. It won't look nice.

Have you ever considered buying a leather-bound book with empty pages? That would be cool to fill in with your anatomy sketches. People would think it was a spell book or something.

I think Bubba Ho-Tep was more of a comedy than anything else. The title was taken from Karloff's first mummy movie (the mummy's name was Im-ho-tep). Bubba is a common term or name for a southern redneck.

There're lots of those leather-bound sketchbooks but it doesn't come as an A4 format. . Agree. It must be interesting to put the anatomy sketches and studies! I have thought about it but didn't think the anatomy would come to mind.

What I would like to do though is making illustrations of demons and other entities... You know, a book calls "Demon Hunter's Handbook" - you can look it up on Amazon. I love that book . Shame it wasn't being made from leathered. It would remind me of "The Book of the Dead" from Evil Dead .

For Bubba Ho-Tep...ermmm I'm not going to bash the movie, but to my POV...I thought it was zzzzzzzzzzzzz. I had to skip most of the part where they started talking Zzzzzzz.......

I believe Mr.Karloff's role that made him famous was/is Mummy...and the Frankenstein monster. .

I've always wanted to get one of those leather books and draw/write in it with dark red ink - and tell people it was written in human blood and I found it in a graveyard.

Did you ever see the very first "Evil Dead?" The book in that movie (which was also in Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness) was pretty cool.

The fact is when you do find a leather sketchbook - it doesn't come with the format that you like. It will be very interesting to draw and also note with dark red ink which can be resembled as blood . I believe I would enjoy the sketches more if I note down - that is if I have something to say that is ¬_¬...

I even saw the Evil Dead DVD cover. Holy crap, have you seen it? It is a face of a "demon"... here's the example: [link]

Oh I saw one scene where the book flipped by itself and we could see all those sketches!! With anatomy of demons and other creatures - nice! .
I would love to try and approach like what they did.

WOW! Thanks for that link! Those are really cool. I've got a brother who works in leather, I wonder how easy it would be for him to do something like that?

Yeah, I remember the pages flipping to show the demons - it was really cool and I've always wanted to do something like that!
