My new 'fursona' C: Her design is pretty much free to mess with as long as it has the basics. She's pretty fun to draw
This is Verdant. She's pretty much based off of my love of nature and my (Welsh) Celtic heritage. I wanted a design that would be fun but also free to rework and mess with so that other people could have fun with adding their own touch to her as well.
She's also a hare; rabbits are cute fuzzy babies, but hares are far more beautiful.

I love how you describe the hare as beautiful in your description. Since so many people prefer the form of the rabbit I think it's super awesome that you chose the hare because you find it more beautiful, or elegant. It guess it's just a perspective I haven't seen much.Β

Aww, thanks so much! I think people love rabbits because they're very 'baby faced'? where as the Hare is much more streamlined and sleek. I love both but personally, I find Bunnies fat and cuddley and ROOOOUND. They're cute, but hares are so pretty, like rabbits crossed with deer!

I agree that hares are have a unique beauty above rabbits. I love what you've done with her! Her Summer version (if I may call it that) is my favorite, but I love the color scheme of Spring too. I got a good laugh out of the carnivorous Albino version because it reminded me of the Killer Rabbit from Monty Python. I have a couple dryad characters that I imagine their foliage works just like this! You've done an excellent job with Verdant.Β

Oh, this is gorgeous! She's got an amazing design, and I love the freedom to work with it. The foliage/floral accents are a really nice touch!

Fantastic persona! She's simple but has a powerful (and personal!) theme, the design and details are great, and I like the flexibility of it all. If it's winter you can put hollies on her; if it's spring, bring on the flowers. I can see the albino version as being the token "negative" aspect, which is really cool-- dark, but not GRIMDARK if that makes any sense. That's good handling, very mature and self-aware!
What's the extent of Verdant's "plant-formation"? Can she melt into the flowers, or cover herself completely in grass? It'd be an excellent defense mechanism!

Thanks very much Ribbon! I really wanted something that could have a personal touch to anyone who draws her; as well as the freedom for myself to play with her design.
The albino was more just because I wanted to have a few different forms; I was going to have a skull or skeleton version with only strawberries growing on/through her but I'm unsure if that would work as a character design or just a one off art piece! It's a long story, but back in my old house strawberries overgrew on to my rabbits graves. Instead of the rabbits dieing my Dad would say they wereΒ 'going to the strawberry fields'.
I'm thinking she would be able to melt into the landscape, kind of like when you look about a forest you see only trees, until you looks at them harder and you can start to see 'faces' in the bark. It would fit really well the with myth behind her design!

Not really, although that's a cool interpretation! It was more born from the fact I found out Albinos are more common on Flytraps for some unknown reason and figured they might be able to survive easier because they can also eat meat. Apparently they can't because they still need photosynthesis to make the enzymesΒ to eat their food :C But that was my reasoning behind the Albino one C:
