Force-Weaving is the magic system that manipulates the fundamental forces of nature, used by Arcadians and other sentient beings across the world of Arcadia. Individuals that can utilize Force-Weaving are called Force-Weavers or Weavers for short. Weavers power their magic with Pneuma, the mystical energy found in all life, which can be replenished by either breathing or consuming food, the latter being more efficient.

To achieve Force-Weaving, one must possess any of the "Three Essentials" which are Gnosis(Knowledge), Dunamis(Power) and Pneuma(Spirit). Gnosis represents the study and knowledge of understanding how a fundamental force works, such as understanding the process of combustion to generate fire. Dunamis represents the practice and action of casting the intended spell. Pneuma is the energy that powers said spell, guided by the knowledge on how to utilize it and directed by one's actions.

There are five fundamental forces in Force-Weaving: Thermos, Ilektris, Kinesis, Photos, and Khemeia. A Weaver's affinity in these forces is measured in a radar chart.

Thermos covers thermodynamics, as well as the manipulation of the presence of heat or its absence, also known as cold.

Ilektris covers electromagnetism, or the manipulation of electricity and magnetism.

Kinesis covers mechanical energy, such as the manipulation of gravity, mass and motion.

Photos covers both visible light and radiation, it can also be used to manipulate how light bends or is absorbed.

Khemeia, the most difficult force to master, is the most versatile of the five. This force requires extensive knowledge on matter and its composition. A Weaver skilled in this area can create materials out of existing matter, such as diamonds from carbon in the atmosphere, to more complex materials made out of multiple elements.

Khemeia also covers biology, such as DNA, growth, regeneration and neurochemistry. Ambitious people have used Khemeia to create artificial organisms, such as Chimerae, amalgamations of different lifeforms. Khemeia was also used to artificially enhance human lifespan, resistance to disease and healing factor. Healers also use their Pneuma to aid in the natural healing process of their patients.

All these fundamental forces work in tandem, regardless of which is the dominant one being used. For example, creating diamonds out of thin air requires carbon(Khemeia), intense heat(Thermos) and pressure(Kinesis).

There are certain devices that can be "enchanted" to be able to perform spells like a wand or staff and isn't limited to either form. Such items can come in the form of clothing, weapons or even mundane items. Some devices are more composite, able to hold multiple enchantments, for example, the head of a spear can be enchanted to vibrate at supersonic frequencies, while the shaft can be enchanted to return to wielder on command.
