The meaning of the image is a threefold for me.
First is an update to celebrate me being free finally. Applications to universities have been sent, portfolios completed and midterms submitted.
Secondly this is an experiment of my new direction. I want to change a few things in my style, the most dominant change being making use of backgrounds. So. As upsetting as it is that I can't do as much as before with my figures' faces, I like what I see. Tell me what you think of this change, especially if you've been seeing my work for a while.

Thirdly this is a tribute to the singer who's kept me inspired for quite some time now. I love Damien Rice's music very much and I've got a lot to thank him for. The male figure in the midground is actually based on a photograph of Damien!

As far as the stars, the hanging heart, the beads on the floor && the ladder goes,
they all have a meaning but they are open to interpretation.
