I've noticed that Axel (Kingdom Hearts II) looks a hell of a lot like Reno (Final Fantasy XII). And since Cloud, and Yuffie, and Sephiroth were all there, maybe Axel is Reno's nobody! I mean really! Both have flaming red hair, both have tatoos under their eyes, both of them have green eyes. Only difference is Reno's hair is longer and he has goggles... And other stuff that's rather obvious.Related content

or Axel's Somebody was Reno's brother, since Axel's name is an anagram of his Somebody name (with an X, unless it was already there and his Somebody was Alex), but either way, Axel -was- based off of Reno.

Yet we can't know for sure if Reno it's his true name or not... It could always be a codename.

According to Tetsuya Nomura, they just made a Reno-like Character, and Axel is just a lot like reno, and isn't reno at all D: nor is he related to Reno.
Axel's real name is also Lea. I laughed.

I just don't understand why they had to make a character so much alike to Reno when they could had Reno in person, if they liked him so much... Therefore i though there could be something behind they were not telling us. But there may be not. Who knows...

it was something about taking a character and putting them in a new, different position and altering them a little bit. Its on Axel's bio page on KH wikia i think. Or Reno's on FF Wikia.
I made a character for FF VII and I drew her in a Turk uniform just for the heck of it.... I never realized how much she resembles Reno until I did that... its the red hair that does it, I think.
I thought it might have been like Alex with the letters re-arranged, since it already has a X, but then they;re like "oh, its Lea"... and I laughed. So. hard. Poor Axel...

um, not to ruin ur fun an all,but the reason axel looks so much like reno is because axel(his entire character) was based off of reno...sry if u disapprove of this stated fact...i like fish tacos...

you know, in the english version of Advent Children of Finall Fantasy, and the English version of Kingdom Hearts, their voices are played by the same actor. And anyways, they were ment to look alike. Cool huh?

they both have a thing for explosions and fire, plus thier voice actor in english is the same guy (Quinton Flynn, also VA of Deidara, Iruka from naruto and Carl from blood+)

Well that was never confirmed, and the events of Advent Children couldve made Axel. Nomura is a very twisted thinker, so we can never know.

yay. I like the pic. Very cute. And I think Axel is Reno's nobody too. And to some of the recent posts, he could still be the nobody even though their names aren't similar. Because if you think back there are Kairi and Namine. There names aren't similar.

Yay I'm not the only one who thinks Axel is Reno's nobody! The only reason I doubt it though is because Axel isn't an anagram of Reno like the others. (Roxas = Sora without the X. same with xemnas = Ansem w/out the X. and of course the others too.)
But the definitely look too much alike to not be related in some way.
