How many times have you been force to see others taking what should be only rightfully yours? Just watching. Hearing. Without the chance to avert your eyes because you must be sure she’s safe. Yes, you’re right on holding back because after claiming that prize it would be impossible to keep going the same way. I doubt you will be willing to share. So it means everything or none. Your feelings run so deep as to sacrifice your need because of her goals? Your goals? Yes, I guess keeping your wants under a tight grip it’s logical and wise.

Not to me. It’s perfectly understandable under the circumstances he is in. His expression means he’s highly skilled repressing his emotions, so skilled he keep his feelings under a tight grip. If it’s natural on him or is something he developed, or perfected, because of his relationship with Neeven, we will see in the future. The most fascinating thing to appreciate is every time that facade cracks.

I do love how they kept track of each other.
While Nick did it when he was in his self-imposed exile, Neveen did it during his time as drunk. They both cared about each other but both are entirely too weary about what the other has become. Nick; a very dangerous fox that seems to hold himself back for the sake of his victims rather than his want. Neveen; a powerful fox who has manipulated events, people and actions to create a web of connections that she can control with simple words and nods.
