I like this one a lot and I agree that the log in the center is best I think off centered it would have thrown off the photo.

I love the position of the log. I can see this in as a story scene were someone meets up with an old friend after many years, or it could be something romantic. lol I like to put stories to pictures. But I really do admire this picture.

or it could be a story of a lonely photographer who came by herself on the island, because everyone else was still in school, where she sat on a rock on the beach all alone, sighing

One thing I like about this shot, and maybe it wasn't even intended, is that because of your positioning, the land ends on one side of the log, and the water starts on the other.

haha definitely wasn't intended.. but that is kinda neat! the thing that bothers me about this one is that the log is like dead centre.. i should have moved more right/left :/
