what kind of material do you use to sculpt?? Is it a specialist clay or something?

ThiagoProvin In reply to CRBUHAGIAR [2010-05-25 23:10:29 +0000 UTC]
Yes, it's a material properly for sculpting, many materials actually. I use to work with super sculpey, sculpey firm, plasticine(yes, the one for kids), chavant, wax, oil clay, aves and some more stuff I mix when necessary...

ah wow, thanks. Do you know of any good websites I can read up on all this; I only started creature designing on photoshop in March as I aimed to start practising with my tablet but I've never had any kind of knowledge or know of anyone with knowledge of the sculpting side of this. Many thanks.

Man, you should check The Clubhouse [link]
There's a ton of sculptors showing their work, wips and tutorials, is a great forum.
There's also Statue Forum[link] this one is more for collectors but they also got a sculptors section.
I also heard about the Shiflet brothers forum, I'm even a member but never participate, I you should check it [link]
Good luck and any doubt let me know, all the best!
