Description
Playing with new pose set from Lunchlady : Pose Me Armed & Dangerous. Great set, very dynamic and polyvalent. Incredibly easy to use.As usual, posed and set up in Daz Studio. Materials tweaking, lighting and rendering in Octane Render.
I used an HDRI for lighting. Postwork in Gimp for resizing and signature only.

I have been wondering... is it possible to create grittiness in Luxrender or Octane or any of these natural lighting? I find it tends to lose out on grittiness, to the point of making it look sterile somewhat. Don't get me wrong, it's lighting makes the character come alive no doubt and sense of realism is great, but it still makes them really sterile I find. Perhaps, you can advise me on how I can make it look less sterile? I can only think of post work in photoshop? Or is it strictly to do with the kind of texture we are using? HELP!

I'm not sure that I really understand the term grittiness (sorry my english is not very good, to say the least ...).
I think it's a matter of combining the lighting and the textures. By using multiple small light sources and textures with high intensity bump or normal maps, you should be able to create a more 'grungy' environment (maybe something like this [link] , or this [link] is what you have in mind ...). I Hope this makes sense ...
