I want to design my own tattoo and had just decided it was to be a phoenix... came to dA for inspiration and here it is XD beautifull, with your permission i'd like to use it as a reference pic, though my tattoo will have a lot of asian influences. your really talented if this is really your first big project, wish you the best!

Emm, I would probably make the shading a lot fluent. And maybe I would change even the design itself a little bit, like the head so it would not go on to the wing.
