yellow sun rays splash our world
cast no shadows on the earth
gentle laughter in my cheeks
pray give way to bright blue mirth
and all trapped in by wild rapture
under heavy sheets of white
listen close and scrunch your nose
whisper beauties and delights
clues of hungry spotted monsters
in four soft circles near your eyes
under old gold photographs
howling magic up dark skies
tinkling piano keys shuffled reveries
chocolates and wishful thinking
which feed dreams into my paper
writing letters to my darling
ballerinas spin gracefully
from souls to souls and turn to dust
and into broken puzzle pieces
all that remains of what once was us
