Description
.. for a Christmas set?Couldn't post it earlier as this was a gift for my mum
Pandoro was an 'experiment' and it didn't really turned out as I hoped.
Bottle was a little experiment, too, and it took me 3 failed attempts to get this one. It still needs alot of perfectioning.. and I wish I had some kind of air-dry resin (?) instead of liquid Fimo
Everything is handmade with polymer clay, paper and acrylic paints.

Wow you made the bottle too? I can't even begin to imagine how to make it!
I saw the blog post about the pandoro before, I admire you for trying making a full cake with baking soda XD I'm too afraid to try it! I don't know why it's very intimidating.

I made the bottle starting from an old Barbie bottle , made a mold out of it with sylicon gum and filled it with two layers of Fimo Liquid + Oil paint (a lighter color for the neck of the bottle, a darker on for the 'bottom'
). Unfortunately neither Fimo Liquid or TLS look as transparent as a bottle should (does it make sense?
) and the final result is a little to plastic-looking
I've always felt quite intimidated by "whole" cakes, too! But I saw a lot of people making lovely, full, bread shapes and cakes that I decided to give it a go. Altough maybe I should have started with an easier shape...

That sounds great, the plastic look is subtle, and I think what you did is very creative and it works great it looks like a rustic wine bottle to me
You know what, now you made me want to make a full cake too!
