Description Recently, on the occasion of one event that took place in the Pearl, I decided to let visitors of our Temple of Art and Light watching me during painting, seeing different stages of creating.
Quite popular question about my photos as well as about my paintings is: "Do you plan the final effect? Do you have strict image in your head?". Well, it depends. Usually I have plan, or sketch in my head, which can evolve only a bit before I start creating and during work. But sometimes the finish turns absolutely differently from the original assumptions, and that's how it was with this very painting.
While in the store, I accidentally came across a large canvas, and thought "What about making something in the Pearl, inspired by the Pearl?". In the beginning under my eyelids I saw the Pearl's characteristic interior, wide angle, as it is but with few "fantasy" details here and there. So I made a basic layer. When it turned dry, my hand started to listen much deeper, sink harder into voices of the place. Windows opened wide, with old Trees whispering from the cemetery right next to the temple, small birds flying inside who have their nests over the dome. All of them helped me and took me back in time.
Once upon a time, there was Forest. Mixed Forest, however mostly coniferous. Spruces, pines, larches... Then humans came and decided to build. They cut down the Trees and used them to put up a church for their god. Really beautiful building, with wonderful project, enchanting light travel during the day but... at some point people abandoned this place. They let it begin to decay, die, fall into oblivion. Today this sanctuary has new life. With souls of the Forest, with the energies of the natural balance that are noticed and felt by those who listen...
