So ~Montygog 's art inspired me to try my hand at the whole Friz Freleng style, which I'm surprised I haven't really tried with the Jaybirds yet. XD except that one ernie piece... But that was more Hanna Barbera. Anyway, so this was just a quick sketch, trying to figure out the gang's shapes. Ron's my least fave here, Leo's my fave. XD For once...If you don't know the boys of Pompfiction yet, from left to right is Ernie, Ronnie (lower), Galileo, Johnny, Dingus (lower), and Rupert.

Johnny has a very Pink Panther quality to him, but Galileo looks like an amazing little mirror of Johnny's grandeur. The fact that they're all such different shapes is astonishing. I love me some retro style- It lends to dah boys super well!

i always loved the retro style of cartoons, though sometimes its used for the most stupidiest of shows. (camp lazlo for instance) but i just adore them, GAH! Jaybird love all over!

Haha thanks so much! Yeah rarely is there a show that combines good art/animation with good storywriting. I actually like Flapjack because it does both. XDDDD Still nothing compares to the 90s cartoons. Talk about story, man. XD Good stuff, before the gags were all reused. I personally didn't like many of the Friz Freleng cartoons growing up but I've learned to appreciate it FAR more as a character designer. XD Funny the way tastes change.
