This is how I envisioned Pennywise looking like when I was reading Stephen King's "IT" just cause I didnt agree with the way that Tim Curry looked in the TV movie.. That was just sad.Working on a CG rendition which can be seen here: [link]

I've been reading IT for a while now, and I wasn't finding it all that scary... but it just keeps getting more horrifying towards the end.
The other day I was glancing into a sewer pipe while walking to school, thinking of the Georgie scene... then I heard a clown laughing. I looked up, and I saw a clown. He offered me a balloon. Of course, I screamed. He backed off saying, "okay, okay. I don't want any trouble!" and he walked away, every once in a while looking back at me like I was crazy.

What's with all the hate for the TV movie? Yeah granted it skimmed over alot of the book's material and alot of the acting was less than great, but dissing the Tim Curry performance? His portrayal of Pennywise is probably the single greatest cause of coulrophobia among young adults today.

I'm glad I never saw the movie, I've been trying to get hold of the book and I finally managed to, I'm almost done. I just wish my mom didn't hate these kinds of stories so much, it'd be a lot easier.

Im currently reading the book because of the movie.
providing how old it is it would never be able to get the real feel you get from the novel. So im hoping they remake the film.

I probably shouldn't be looking up Pennywise art, especially while reading It, considering how I've been edgy around drainage openings since before I can remember. Something's been driving lately me to face everything I've ever been scared of; maybe that explains it.
This? This is absolutely terrifying, but I applaud you from an artist's standpoint for the incredible detail you put into drawing everything. The teeth and grin are staggering and will probably be imprinted on my mind for the rest of the night.
Sometimes I can be quite stupid.
One question: how long did you spend on drawing this?

I drew that soooo long ago that I honestly don't quite remember.

Well, I've never seen the movie adaptation of It, but I have seen screen shots from the movie, and I can see why you wanted to make a different version of Pennywise. The clown from the film looks a little ridiculous to be honest, but that's just my humble opinion. Anyway, the drawing is simply fantastic, and I personally think Stephen King would be amazed if he too were to lay eyes on this.
