My idea is that it what may seem strange to others is normal to us and vice versa.

we look in the mirror, and ask ourselves, "am I the bad guy, or is the man in the mirror the bad guy?" no one really knows.

Well..in my opinion it conveys or rather says that theres always and even when you are and have been a kind hearted person you always have that dark self, that messed up alter ego that just is you in your mind, body,and soul (being dramatic now XP). That you always have hiding deep down and has the capability to just come out and show what you can or could be if you just let it out but ..... it's not just because of anything causeing this it's your choice to hold onto that kind of negative self.

i guess i'll take a crack at the meaning, something like "things arn't always what they seem"? like one would assume that the guy with the blue hair is the reflection of the guy with brown hair but it could always be the other way around?

I think that it is a little more simple than that, I think it just means that we choose to believe what we want to believe. For example, someone my think that the real one is on the right, and in the mirror is the alternate dimension, but in reality, the real one is the one on the left. We choose to believe that the one on the right is the real one, because we don't want to face the fact that WE might be the fakes.

I think this depicts a man's thoughts and what's reality. Of some stress that holds him back and leads him into darkness.

Actually, now that I've had more time to think about it, I think its more along the lines of that what we see in the natural isn't always what's most real. The things that we can't see, are what are most real. Like the person we really are, isn't always the person that people see, or the feelings we have towards others, or the seemingly unsolvable mysteries like how life first began. The things that can't be measured by natural, or physical means, are the things that are reality, while everything else is merely an illusion, and tends to cloud our vision of what is most important.

This is really cool though, because the last couple of days I've been mulling over an idea to add to my original story about people dying and being reborn in an alternate universe; so in a way, they never actually die. Which would make for an interesting twist if someone went to another dimension and found someone they knew and loved from their own world that had died, but was actually living in that universe. Okay, getting long winded again. I'll shut up now lol X)
One other thing, as for the interpretation, I'm leaning more towards the light and dark side of people concept. Everyone has both, and they're constantly at war with each other within ourselves.

When I was like 6 I initially thought of this:
Maybe our eyes are not perfect and what we see, is not really what we are. For instance, we cannot see in infared or ultraviolet. This limits our perspective. Perhaps, we do not truly see the world for what it is or what it can be. We merely stick to our narrowminded misconceptions of life and reality. We cling to our beliefs out of fear or disappointment that we may be wrong about life. That we actually know nothing about life, and we claim we know a lot about it.
I would keep going, but that is already too much into it. But you did a very nice job on the work ^^ I hope that you are on the road to getting your muse for art back ^^

what we "see" is really what we perceive, color doesn't exist outside the brain b?c color is just a sensation (an awesome one) that the brain makes from wavelengths of light striking out eyes. Is that the message? Or are you looking for something less literal XD

no one knows, what i see as red could be what you see a blue

What we can say is that the eyes all percieve colour the same way. Though eyes always percieve things such as colour and depth differently than others, there's never been anyone that registers a yellow colour as blue. But how the brain percepts these colours is impossible to tell and therefore, there's no way of telling that your blue is my blue, green or red.

I dig it. i've always liked these types of pictures and in fact have awaited the time you created one Scoot. hehe. a script i wrote takes a violent and colorful tone on this little theme. It's probably the most twisted script i have written.
Also back when i sent you that UO Fanscript. (if you were able to read it. the program may have tried to lock you out.) i tried a bit to go for this. ^-^

There is more to reality than the eye perceives. Just cause an alternate universe cannot be seen doesn't mean one does not exist.

I think that he sees himself is dark, and an outcast, but really, hes just normal. He just doesnt believe that he is accepted by people around him, when really, he isnt accepting himself.
But thats just my opinion. Everyone else seems to think he has a darkside.
